It compares natural scenes with man-made lighting used in filmmaking.

The work reflects on timeless themes such as how humans experience time and space,

the line between fact and fiction, and the connection between memory and vision.

Weeping and moaning. A Portret of crisis I video installation I 2009

Six-part video installation putting the current financial crises (2008-2009) and it’s effects in Estonia into the context of lamenting.

Lamenting is a old weeping-song tradition present in Estonia for centuries. It is an emotional act accompanying transition periods and crossings of borders – death, marriage etc.

In these video series I am portraying rather tragicomical situations of people who don’t know what to do and therefore start to enjoy the suffering.
